Why do we need to use such connectors? How?
If you are going to use extension cords or "Y" / etc with your RGB LED lights, all cords come with both female connector. Those cables don¡¯t match the plugs (male to female), so the 4 pin male to male adapter did the trick.
Usually your led light strip may only come with such connector as many as needed. This is a delicate item, and break easily. Hence,order these to have spares on hand ,to save the hassle of soldering the four connections manually.
These are simply, but very handy if you plan to attach two or more full (usually 5-meter) strips of RGB LEDs together. If you are doing that project, buy theses now.
They make adding the lights together a very simple thing!
