Formatt Hitech Limited HT 4HM4 Glass Hot Mirror 710 for Video Matte Boxes and for 100MM (4-Inch) Modular Holder

This filter is one of a range of 4mm glass filter designed to fit both standard 4 Inch matte boxes for video and film, but also the Hitech Photographic 100mm Modular Holder. The holder is designed to accept the Wider glass filters as well as standard resin filters, allowing for the use of filters which cannot be made in just resin. The Hitech Hot Mirror filter has been designed to correct Infrared pollution. Unlike film cameras, digital cameras are sensitive to Infrared light. This becomes more noticeable when using neutral density filters especially when higher densities are used, as is now often the case with many (particularly top end) digital cameras. The Format Hot Mirror filter has a sharp cut-off at Infrared wavelengths but will not interfere with the visible red wavelengths. The Hot Mirror coating is sandwiched internally to eliminate any possibility of damage to the coated surface. Note that this filter has a 710Nm cut off, there is an alternative version with a 680Nm cut off. Please check your camera's requirements before ordering.
